Whimsical. With this print I wanted to let the carving marks become part of the story. Instead of trying achieve a refined look, I explored different cuts and textures to suggest movement and character. The horse's gentle expression contrasts with the energy of the carving creating a piece that seems both playful and calm. I like to think its a celebration of the carving process itself.
